On Sunday, September 8th, we hosted one of our Be Together Walking events through the scenic Itchen Valley Country Park, bringing together a group of bereaved parents and their families for a day of connection.
We are pleased to be able to provide an opportunity for bereaved families who have experienced the heartbreak of baby loss to spend time doing activities with others who understand what they have been through. The children enjoyed exploring the nature trail and playing in the park. The adults found solace in each other’s company, sharing experiences and offering words of comfort to each other.
We concluded our walk with ice cream, cake, and friendly conversations under the sun, where there was much interest in the work Aching Arms is doing within the baby loss community. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with, compassion, and a sense of togetherness.
Everyone enjoyed the day and expressed a strong desire to meet again soon. We look forward to welcoming more families at our next Walk Together event and continuing to support each other on this journey.
Thank you to all who attended and our Trustee, Donna who led the walk.
