Valerie and Margaret – our volunteers for William Harvey Hospital & QEQM Hospital in Kent.

Valerie says:

"I started volunteering in 2010 after supporting Leanne (my daughter in law) Founder of Aching Arms and Mark (my son) after the loss of their first born James. 

I started helping prepare the comfort Bears for a small number of Hospitals. Within three years Aching Arms expanded to become a registered charity and has grown ever since reaching out to more bereaved families.
 
My sister Margaret, also a volunteer, has been helping me in preparing bears for William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, Kent and QEQM Hospital in Margate, Kent.
 
We hold a Tea Party fundraiser, every year in memory of James which many friends look forward to coming along to and donating to Aching Arms, to show their support.

We are very proud of Leanne, Mark, their son Cameron and all those connected with the charity and the amazing work and time given to those who need them.
