Aching Arms V's Sands Northampton for Baby Loss Awareness Week 2024

Sunday 13th October saw 30 players from Northampton Sands and Aching Arms come together to play a special match to mark BLAW 2024.  

The game took place at Watford FC’s training ground and with the support of friends and family, we remembered our precious babies with a minute’s applause and a wave of light.  Led by Chris and James as co-captains the game was played with passion and great camaraderie, and whilst Aching Arms came away with the victory, what matters most is recognising the importance of coming together and finding comfort in the company of others who understand our pain.
 
We would like to thank Tommy Smith and Derek Payne, two former professional footballers who joined the Aching Arms lineup, for taking the time to play in the match. It was an honour to have you represent Aching Arms for such a special occasion.
