The Be Together events are funded by the wonderful grant we have received from Global's Make Some Noise charity.

The Aching Arms Be Together events are an opportunity for our community to come together.

Held throughout the UK, they provide an opportunity to spend time doing activities with others who have some understanding of what you have experienced. Our past events include, football matches for Dads, picnics, camp fire and tree planting events and a sibling fun farm day.

When attending an event, there is no expectation that you will discuss your story, but if you choose to, you can share it with those around you. We want you to know you are not alone, and our events can be a way of creating new memories in honour of a baby special to you.

We would love to see you at one of our upcoming events, you can find out more by clicking on the events coming up box below and following us on social media.

You have enquires, you are welcome to contact Claire, our Be Together Project Lead at betogether@achingarms.co.uk.

Games Afternoon - Bristol

Games Afternoon - Bristol

In collaboration with the lovely Lilly from the Playground Café, Bristol, this 2-hour adults-only event is aimed at bereaved parents and their adult family members or friends to come and be in a safe space among other bereaved parents and chat whilst playing light-hearted board games.

The event is FREE (including refreshments) and every attendee will be able to dedicate a bear for free in memory of a baby/babies special to them. However, we do ask for a £5 refundable deposit to secure your space (which you can choose to donate to the charity).

Playground is a small café bar located in the heart of Bristol's city centre. It has a small team of friendly staff, swings instead of chairs at some tables and over 250 games for adults to play.

The bar was first opened in 2014 by owner Lilly in her attempt to create a space where adults could make new friends through sharing tables and playing games and for a little bit of time feel like children again. The café is located in an old listed building with limited space and unfortunately does not have an accessible toilet or changing room because of its space and architectural restrictions but is located in the city centre and surrounded by other businesses that have such facilities.

We understand coming to these events can be a big step and feel overwhelming. We want you to know this is ok, we are also bereaved parents and we will be there to support you if needed.
