I became a volunteer for Aching Arms, after the loss of my son, Joshua Stanley Donaldson. Aching Arms are a charity that provided support and comfort for the family and this was something that I wanted to support.

I have supported Aching Arms in the past by taking part in fundraising and completing two marathons. I now offer support with the online support groups for bereaved dads, Supporting Arms for Dads which runs each month, virtually.

I am also the writer of the dads guide - "You are a Dad...you always will be", this is a guide for dads following the loss of your baby. For me, it is also Joshua's on-going legacy.

Aching Arms means a lot to me, I have seen how much comfort the bears give to bereaved families during their time of grief, and also seeing bears with Joshua's name on, gives me comfort, that through our grief, Joshua is providing comfort to other families and his legacy lives on.
