Valerie’s Cream Tea fundraiser a success

Dedicated supporter Valerie Bowes organised another fantastic fundraising event in aid of Aching Arms and raised £338! She held a Cream Tea at her home in Dover, Kent as part of our Teddy Bear’s Tea Party fundraiser and the invite-only event was a great success. Once Gift Aid has been added, the total raised will be even more. Huge thanks once again from us all.

Tea party raised more than £190

Huge thanks to Jessica Clasby-Monk who held a Teddy Bear’s Tea Party at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire in aid of Aching Arms in memory of her son Leo Phoenix and raised a fantastic £193.60! Great fundraising and we hope everyone had a great time enjoying those delicious cakes!

Charity football match to be held raise funds

A charity football match is being played this Saturday to raise money for Aching Arms. David and Gemma McCord have organised the match, which will be played at Humbug Park, in Crossgates, Fife, in memory of their baby Pip. Girls to take on gruelling Wolf Run to raise money

FRIENDS Hollie Bradshaw and Ashleigh Corbett are preparing to take on an extreme 10k to raise money in aid of Aching Arms in memory of Hollie’s nephew Zac. Runners got muddy raising money for Aching Arms

A team of military wives took part in the Man Up in the Mud challenge at the weekend and raised hundreds of pounds. The team of four took part in the 5k event, in Pembrokeshire, and have so far raised £547 for Aching Arms and another charity Walking with Giants Foundation. Thank you for making our crowdfunding project a success

We want to say a huge thanks to everyone who pledged, shared, tweeted, emailed and supported our first crowdfunding project. We raised £1,020 on the site and received a £50 cheque – taking our total to £1,070. This amazing total helps us to ensure that we can continue to send bears directly and free of charge to bereaved families. Thank you so much from all of us at Aching Arms.

Fundraising stall at summer fair

Rebecca Thorneycroft is planning to raise funds for Aching Arms at her school fair. The Crescent Academy in Stoke-on-Trent is holding its summer fair on Saturday (May 21). Rebecca will have a stall there with face painting, guess the name of the bear, cupcakes and a raffle. Good luck, we hope the fair and your stall in a success!
